Upcoming Beta 22 Builds
Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1:19PM As I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be building a run of 10 Beta 22 amplifiers. Some folks have asked about the specs and pricing of these amps. Here's a quick snapshot of what you can expect.
The Amplifier (Beta 22):
- 3-channel active ground configuration
- Gain setting default will be 5, but can be configured for 2, 5, 8, or 11 at the request of the customer.
- Vishay/Dale resistors used throughout
- Alps Blue Velvet or Goldpoint stepped attenuator volume control
- Silver coated copper stranded hook up wire used throughout
- High quality custom designed black anodized cases with enough room to upgrade the amp to a 4-channel balanced amp in the future. (Upgrade prices TBD)
- Engraved panels
- Two pairs of Neutrik RCA jacks: either (1 set input/1 set loop out) or (2 sets input with switch)
- Sexy black volume knob
- Our signature Orange LED!
The Power Supply (Sigma 22):
- 100V-240V operation
- Vishay/Dale resistors used throughout
- High quality DC umbilical cord using Amphenol connectors pre-configured for potential upgrade to a balanced 2 X Sigma 22 setup.
- High quality custom designed black anodized cases with enough room to upgrade the power supply to a 2 X Sigma 22 power supply for use with a balanced Beta22. (Upgrade prices TBD)
- Engraved panels.
- Again with the Orange LED!
Price: $1800-$2000 depending on configuration.
Cheers,
Stephen
