Operating with pride in Chapel Hill, NC, Rockhopper Audio opened its doors on January 1st, 2005. I am committed to building high quality amplifiers at a great price. Each amp goes through a testing period and each amp adheres to my strict standards before it leaves the workbench. The result is a product that is sure to impress. I believe in each of the amps I build and that is why I am so passionate about them. Each design brings a unique sound. You will get what you pay for at Rockhopper Audio.

So look around and ask questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them. All of the headphone amps are covered by my 1 year warranty on parts and labor (please note, previous customers are also covered under this warranty).

The name Rockhopper Audio comes from two things: 1) audio amplifiers--obviously and 2) my wife's love (and now mine) of penguins. While I love animals and find penguins fascinating too, I did not share my wife's extreme enthusiasm with penguins until a trip to the New England Aquarium in Boston (formerly the Boston Aquarium). There we saw a number of penguins and I fell in love with the Rockhopper penguin (it makes a cameo appearance in the movie "Next Stop Wonderland" for those interested).

So poke around the site a bit and feel free to offer any constructive criticism that comes to mind about the amplifier offerings or the site itself; I'm always trying to improve things.
